Digitalization of the Fashion & Luxury supply chain: shall we discuss it?

Questions surrounding  supply chain optimization are ubiquitous today. For 70% of apparel industry executives, the answer lies in process digitization (according to California Apparel News). Some brands, like Rip Curl and Hummel, have understood this by collaborating with and adopting our e-SCM solution. For each, the challenge was different, but the goal was the same: to optimize their supply chain through process digitization.

supply chain stakeholders , but it remains a way to gain effectiveness and efficiency . That's why it's essential to select a solution provider who can assess your needs and challenges and, above all, address them. If you're not yet convinced by digitalization, we offer some guidance in the article " Management and ROI: Technology at the Service of the Fashion Supply Chain ," starting with the relationship between you and your future solution provider.

The key to this collaboration is exchange and communication. That's why we meet you at specialized events, as was the case on May 30th and 31st in  Amsterdam at the PI Apparel Supply Chain Forum.

A forum to meet you, dedicated to your supply chain challenges

PI Apparel feedback (1)

During the two days of the Supply Chain Forum at the Postillon Hotel, Caroline, our Northern Europe business developer, and Pascal , our sales director, had the opportunity to exchange ideas with fashion brands during one-to-one interviews about current challenges.

This forum also offered conferences on topics such as traceability, quality, and digital transformation within the supply chain.

Laura Husband, a journalist at Just Style, offers her own feedback on this forum in the article " PI Apparel Supply Chain Forum 2023 reveals flexibility is not enough".

We asked Caroline a few questions to find out more.

Interview with Caroline, our business developer

IN : Hello Caroline, we are delighted to learn more today about your experience at the Supply Chain Forum in Amsterdam. To begin, who are you and who is e-SCM?

CA : Hello, I am Caroline Anziutti, business developer for the Northern Europe sector for the e-SCM solution , which is a collaborative platform dedicated to brands in the Fashion & Luxury sector to optimize the management of their supply chain.

IN : Why did you participate in the Supply Chain Forum?

CA : We participated in the Supply Chain Forum in Amsterdam to exchange ideas with supply chain stakeholders on current issues. Our goal is to accelerate our international development, which has already begun with our collaboration with the Hummel brand, among others. The one-on-one meetings offered at the forum allowed us to discuss the digitalization of the supply chain and to further present the functionalities of our solution. These exchanges are important to us; they allow us to understand the demands and needs of brands so that we can best respond with our expertise and nearly 20 years of experience. All of this is aimed at helping them improve their productivity and efficiency.

IN : A great experience to exchange ideas and meet these supply chain players! Can you tell us more about your e-SCM solution? What are its main features?

CA : The e-SCM solution is a collaborative platform that enables supply chain management. It facilitates coordination and relationships with suppliers and all stakeholders in the chain by tracking operations and decisions made throughout the supply cycle. It is therefore a collaborative workspace for sharing information in real time on a secure platform. It is, of course, dedicated to companies in the Fashion & Luxury sector. In short, the e-SCM solution allows for the secure supervision, ordering, production, shipping, and receiving of goods, involving all stakeholders in real time.

, the e-SCM solution allows you to supervise , order , produce , ship and receive , securely and including all stakeholders in real time .

IN : So how do you help brands in the Fashion & Luxury sector?

CA  : The textile sector in general has experienced significant disruption, particularly following the Covid-19 crisis. Supply chain management relied on Excel spreadsheets, with excessive information flows, making it impossible to gain a comprehensive overview of operations and thus to conduct risk analysis. Furthermore, organizing and streamlining supply chain processes was complex, and above all, planning and monitoring all operations was done via email, phone, or fax, which was extremely resource-intensive. This leads me to also discuss the CSR challenges faced by companies in this sector, which will find a solution in our approach, as it optimizes exchanges, streamlines procurement, and thus enables comprehensive traceability.

IN : So, which brands trust you today?

CA  : Today, the majority of our clients have trusted us for several years now, starting with Rip Curl, who implemented the solution when we began 17 years ago. We now count brands like Eden Park, Petit Bateau, Aigle, CWF, and more recently Hummel and Bellerose.

IN : What challenges do these brands face and how does the e-SCM solution address them?

CA  : For most of them, the main challenge is coordinating supplies and optimizing information exchange between all stakeholders. The e-SCM solution has thus enabled increased productivity, improved supplier monitoring, and more reliable delivery schedules, all thanks to an intuitive and easy-to-deploy solution. This ease of use is largely due to the presence and support of the e-SCM teams, who respond to customer needs with extensive experience and expertise.

This feedback highlights the challenges that the e-SCM solution addresses  daily in the textile and apparel sector . You will find more detailed answers in our various case studies. You can also speak directly with Antton , our business developer .
