Belharra is first and foremost a symbolic name. It's the name of a legendary wave that sometimes rises off the coast of Urrugne, on the Basque coast. It's also the name chosen by three passionate engineers for their company, founded in 2006. Their ambition: to support local businesses, particularly in the fashion and luxury sectors, in transforming their supply chains.
From the very beginning, the team identified a major challenge in the fashion and luxury industry: the lack of visibility between supplier orders and delivery. Indeed, Patrick Bourg, Director of Operations at Belharra/e-SCM, explained in his interview with Voxlog: “ We quickly understood one of their needs: the management and tracking of their outsourced production in Europe and worldwide.” This led to the creation of e-SCM Solutions, a SaaS platform designed to centralize flows, digitize processes, and improve production traceability.
developed to meet the needs of Rip Curl , the e-SCM solution quickly established itself as a key driver of operational efficiency. By centralizing data, tracking production schedules, and eliminating bottlenecks, it allows brands to improve their responsiveness and reliability. The solution then gradually gained traction with other brands in the textile sector, including Petit Bateau and Eden Park.
A shift towards a publisher model
In 2016, a major French luxury brand approached Belharra. This event marked a strategic turning point: the company began its transformation from a service provider to a full-fledged software publisher. It strengthened its sales and marketing organization, recruited new talent, and structured its development.
It is important to note that Belharra is a human-sized with a corporate culture based on expertise and commitment to projects. Our agile approach allows us to adapt to our clients' organizations and to tackle complex functional challenges as well as large-scale deployments.
Our team comprises 24 experts passionate about innovation and the digital transformation of the supply chain, most of whom come from major fashion and luxury brands in France. As such, they understand our clients' challenges because they have faced them themselves.
By digitizing the upstream supply chain, e-SCM allows brands to regain control over often fragmented processes. By centralizing key data (orders, schedules, logistics milestones, documents), the solution offers real-time visibility, facilitates coordination with suppliers, and secures commitments. Teams become more responsive, reduce manual tasks, and anticipate risks more effectively.
This increased control over flows also addresses growing demands for compliance and transparency. Thanks to structured traceability, brands can better manage their operations, adapt to regulatory constraints, and strengthen the reliability of their supply chain.

Committed to a collaborative approach, Belharra participates in the work of the BALI Chair, alongside key players in fashion, luxury, and textile innovation. In 2023, a study on the Digital Product Passport, conducted with the engineering school Estia and Pantixka Ospital , an e-SCM consultant, was selected by the European Parliament. This recognition reinforces e-SCM's legitimacy regarding traceability, compliance, and eco-responsibility issues in the textile industry .
Building on its success, Belharra is now embarking on a new phase of growth with the e-SCM Scale Up project. The goal: to scale up and reach international markets. Danish sports equipment manufacturer Hummel is one of the first clients to benefit from this new phase.
Artificial intelligence at the service of the supply chain
Always looking to the future, Belharra is now integrating artificial intelligence components into its solution, with a pilot underway whose results are expected by the end of 2025. These innovations aim to further strengthen the agility and automation of supply chains in a constantly changing sector.
For nearly 20 years, Belharra has embodied a committed, innovative company deeply rooted in its local community. Through e-SCM, it provides fashion and luxury brands with the tools to build an ethical, efficient, and resilient supply chain, like the wave from which it takes its name.
