We participated in the Texworld Paris trade show at a conference on the challenges and opportunities of the Digital Product Passport in the fashion industry. Pantxika Ospital, Traceability Consultant at e-SCM, spoke at the conference in early July at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center. We were there alongside members of the Chair to present the work carried out within the working groups.
For over six years, e-SCM has been actively involved in the Bali Chair , an initiative bringing together stakeholders in the Textile, Fashion & Luxury industry committed to promoting circular, transparent, and agile fashion. As a Supply Chain , e-SCM leads the "Traceability & Transparency" working group, a crucial area of innovation aimed at creating a more responsible fashion industry.
Pantxika Ospital , a business consultant at e-SCM, demonstrated in her doctoral thesis the importance of the data model required to populate a Digital Product Passport. This model, perfectly aligned with the principles of an Agile Supply Chain , makes it possible to meet the challenges of flexibility and streamlining of supplies in a complex economic context. Thanks to this model, it is possible to ensure complete traceability of finished products, made possible by process auditability.
Traceability & Transparency aspects of e-SCM ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support the transition to a more responsible model. This approach ensures that each stage of the product lifecycle is transparently documented, providing consumers and regulators with complete visibility into the origin and journey of products.
The recognition of this work by the European Parliament , which requested a report on the Digital Passport , attests to the expertise and relevance of the research carried out by e-SCM , in collaboration with the teacher-researchers of ESTIA.
