Women in the digital sector will represent only 24% in 2024, according to data from La grande école du Numérique. In the e-SCM team, they represent 36%! Out of a team of 24 people, 9 are women, each bringing diverse profiles, skills, and qualities that enrich the team.
We want to encourage young women to pursue careers in computer science and engineering. Currently, only 17% of women choose these fields, and only 6% of female students are enrolled in two-year vocational training programs in computer science.
In a rapidly expanding digital world, where innovation is at the heart of growth, diverse skills are essential to meeting future challenges. Women play a crucial role in this dynamic, and it is imperative to support and promote their active participation in the technology sector to ensure an inclusive and prosperous future for all. This is what the Women@Digital initiative is doing to promote this promising field
With an estimated 232,000 digital jobs currently operating in IT services and ICT companies, the need for talent is becoming increasingly urgent. The underrepresentation of women in this sector deprives the industry of valuable skills and hinders its economic growth. According to McKinsey, achieving gender parity could even increase French GDP by 10% by 2025.
