Security and centralization of data in the supply chain

The  main goals of a supplier platform such as e-SCM are two-fold: procurement workflow between partners and to centralize to- end data flow between stakeholders .

THE UPSTREAM SUPPLY CHAIN

Data ecosystem and integrations

The supply chain environment in the fashion industry is a complex data ecosystem intrinsically linked to various business operations. This data is heterogeneous and critical, impacting daily operations and profitability, while contributing to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting.

The e-SCM platform primarily focuses on data exchanged in the following key areas:

  • Confirmation of purchase orders
  • Production monitoring
  • Product traceability
  • Transport documentation
  • Inbound shipments

These data flows are cross-functional, involving multiple divisions such as Purchasing, Sourcing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics and Warehouse Management, as well as suppliers and freight forwarders.

Centralizing this data allows it to be shared across all teams to make better-informed decisions, while making it easier to collect data from external suppliers.

Thus, the following graph illustrates at which stage e-SCM intervenes within the framework of a digital supply chain, to help the brand to digitize part of its process.

e-SCM supply chain data security

The  e-SCM platform becomes the repository for production and transport data. Initially , the implementation focuses on interfacing e -SCM with the brand 's ERP system, managing the flow of incoming data . The key objectives are :

*  Retrieval of master data and purchase orders: e-SCM extracts master data and purchase orders from the ERP system (inbound), becoming the central hub for operational workflows.

*  Data security and logging: All data within e-SCM is secure and archived, ensuring data integrity and traceability.

*  Synchronization and automation: Any changes within e-SCM are synchronized with the ERP system, reducing manual tasks and ensuring consistency across platforms. The brand is responsible for the development of the outgoing interface (outgoing flow).

Platform integration capabilities

Having worked with leading brands across Europe, we have successfully managed interfaces with major ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV or BC, Orli (CEGID), Storeland, and M3.

*  API Connections : API connections add robustness and reliability, ensuring smooth data flow between systems.

*  CSV Integration : If necessary, we can still handle data integration via CSV files, providing flexibility to meet different needs.

*  Advanced automation: Ideally, we achieve increased automation by integrating APIs with freight services, allowing data to be sent directly into e-SCM.

Currently, we have established connections with logistics partners such as Scan Global Logistics, DHL Express, Herport, Prolinair or Bolloré Logistics. This ensures a comprehensive and efficient supply chain management process.

HIGH-LEVEL SECURITY

Our SaaS version on Microsoft Azure

e-SCM solutions are now deployed exclusively in SaaS version with a reinforced infrastructure established in partnership with Microsoft Azure, allowing us to store data in Western Europe. Based in France, we are committed to sustainability, so our data remains on the same continent, and all our developers are in-house.

Our cloud environment ensures high scalability and availability, providing smooth migration to new versions and allowing customers to benefit from new features without interruption.

IMPROVE YOUR VALUE CHAIN

Data integration, management and analysis

Our e-SCM solution offers an expanded data scope, supporting various divisions within your organization. Seamlessly integrated into your business operations, it improves operational efficiency by providing reliable data to make better-informed decisions that will generate ROI.

Data is available for ESG reporting and analysis, with a specific module to generate reports on predefined KPIs, or custom reports, focused on CSR / supplier portfolio / shipments. This level of analysis is complementary to traditional BI which is generally not used for supply chain analysis.

The deployment of such a tool significantly contributes to the service rate, promoting collaboration while improving operational efficiency to generate more value across the chain.
